Kawshik Banerjee

I am a PhD student in Computer Science at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL. Currently I'm working at SIU's School of Computing as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

I completed my undergrad in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology, where I was fortunate to be advised by Mr. Azmain Yakin Srizon. Fascinated by the ever-evolving nature of language, my undergrad thesis focused on assessing how our understanding, usage, and the association of racial and ethnic stereotypical terms have shifted over a 13-year period on social media data.

My research has previously been featured in Nature Index and Nature News.
